Welcome to Coding with Graphs!

The aim of this blog is to give demonstrations and examples of various software packages for experimenting with and visualising graphs. Our secondary goal is to provide information about how to embed graph drawings into web pages and PDF documents.

The emphasis will be on pure graph theory rather than its many applications in network analysis and computer science. However, we will try to keep demonstrations on the practical side and make reference to the literature for the theoretical fine points.

We may touch upon closely related topics such as visualisation of graph algorithms but it is not our intention to discuss graph theory in general on this blog.

Our intention is to post once a week, probably on Friday afternoon. Some longer demonstrations may be split over multiple posts.
